CALLING ALL SKINCARE JUNKIES!!
Who else struggles with finding the right skincare system? It's confusing even where to start sometimes and I have been on the hunt for great skincare to help balance my dry skin while providing anti-aging benefits for a long, LONG time. I have tried everything from a $300 face cream (eep!) to some drugstore finds with great reviews, but none of them quite fit the bill in one way or another. There were some I liked but were NOT budget friendly *cough*overpriced creams*cough* and others had ingredients that I wasn't so thrilled about (parabens, sulfates, etc).
In this hunt I've found myself gravitating more towards NATURAL skincare, CLEANER ingredients because lets be honest... the things we put ON our skin affects our overall health. -- Enter KORRES Natural Greek Skincare -- About a month ago I received a beautiful package #gifted from KORRES that had 4 unique products. Let's talk about each now!
First is the Greek Yoghurt Foaming Cleanser which to my surprise literally melted makeup away GENTLY and EASILY. Added bonus, it wasn't drying like most cleansers (hallelujah). So what is special about this cleanser?
It is rich in proteins, minerals and vitamins that gently cleanse the skin and helps to reduce redness. The cleanser includes amaranth seed extract to soothe, as well as calming honeysuckle to provide antibacterial benefits. I am a cleanser SNOB and I can happily say that I really like this one! It is effective yet gentile, leaves my skin feeling clean, soft and soothed.
- Greek Yoghurt Concentrate: Contains two and a half times the protein content of regular yogurt for advanced nourishment.
- Honeysuckle: Provides soothing, antibacterial, and calming benefits.
- Amaranth Seed Extract: Calms skin.
Next up is the Pomegranate Moisturizing & Balancing Cream Gel which is formulated for oily to combination skin, so at first glance I wasn't sure if I would like this moisturizer. I tend to shy away from gel creams because for my dry skin, they just aren't enough, I was right in my instinct in this one too. I can say that this gel FEELS and SMELLS absolutely AMAZING but did leave me wanting more moisture. The unique lightweight cream-gel is formulated with a blend of 15% pomegranate water, pomegranate extract, alpine willow herb, tannins, and polyphenols to help reduce the appearance of pores and rejuvenate the look of skin while providing a matte finish. For my skin, I am already pretty darn matte so I prefer a dewy finish. So for those of you that desire a matte finish, this is for you!
- Pomegranate Extract: Tightens pores, antioxidant protection, astringent properties.
- Alpine Willowherb: Clinically proven to help balance oily skin; Reduces pore size.
- Salicylic Acid: Helps minimize and prevent breakouts.
- Hyaluronic Acid: Helps to keep skin smooth and hydrated.
Onto one of my personal favorites from this little collection, Wild Rose Vitamin C Brightening Eye Cream This little jar is packed with "powerful stabilized Super Vitamin C and Rhodiola Rosea extract helps reduce the appearance of all signs of fatigue, including dark circles, fine lines for a radiant look." Just like the facial cream gel, the scent is lovely, soft, aromatic, floral but not overpowering. From my personal experience, I can tell you I saw results quickly. My under eye area appears brighter and it has definitely helped with the puffiness I get from lack of sleep #momlife This little jar will be a staple on my skincare rotation for the foreseeable future.
In a clinical study of women 25 to 40 after two-month period twice a day use:
- 100% women found to reduce the appearnace of dark circles
- 100% womend found skin to be brighter and more moisturized
- 97% women found to reduce the appearance of puffiness
Last, but DEFINITELY NOT least... say hello to the "magic stick" that is the Black Pine Sculpting Firming & Lifting Super Eye Serum (say that 3 times fast...) Holy results batman! This serum packs some serious power and can visibly lift the upper eyelid and firm the entire eye area, reducing sagging, the appearance of wrinkles and dark circles. YEP, you read that right... get some 360 eye lifting from a serum! YAAAAS GIRL!!
"This formula also includes hyaluronic acid to replenish the sensitive eye area with deep hydration, all while boosting skin firmness and resilience with the ElastiLift-3D complex. I can personally tell you, YES IT IS THAT GOOD and for an eye serum with these types of results, it is VERY reasonably priced. This is a must have for anyone that is experiencing eyelid skin elasticity issues. Lift if up girl, lift it UP.
The thing that I love the most about KORRES other than the variety of great products, is their use of high quality NATURAL ingredients. They use medicinal herbs, Greek flora, natural actives, AND run an eco-friendly business. Oh, and of course... my most important requirement for products, they are cruelty free! Absolutely NO animal testing in their labs or and hired independent labs at any stage of production.
So tell me, which of these sounds like it would be a good fit for you? What types of ingredients do you look for in your skincare? Drop me a comment and let's chat!
